André Gallant, a freelance photographer, travels the world over, taking expressive photographs. He is the author of Innovation, Inspiration, Expressionism, Destinations, Dreamscapes and, Photographing People at Home and Around the World, and was the photographer for the illustrated books Winter, The Great Lakes, and Seacoasts, all written by Pierre Berton. André teaches Photography Workshops with Freeman Patterson, with whom he co-wrote Photo Impressionism and the Subjective Image, as well as the revised edition of Photography for the Joy of It. He lectures throughout Canada, the US as well as internationally. A regular contributor to Canada Camera, his work has appeared in numerous magazines such as Outdoor Photographer, Canadian Camera, Canadian Gardening, Canadian Living, Gardening Life, En Route, etc. André is the recipient of two National Magazine Awards for his photography. He resides in Saint John, New Brunswick.
